This means you can keep it up nearly permanently once you get it the first time. The easy way to keep it charged is to cancel it before it runs out (takes ~1.5k points to fully recharge it vs ~4-5k points if you lose the charge). You can cancel the wingsuit by tapping the icon again which lets you chain together grinds that you couldn't otherwise (makes it easy to get x10+ multipliers). I've personally found it super valuable and borderline essential for certain characters.
